In 2003, we were honoured to be presented with the Award of Merit from the Business Achievement Awards. ECOTB was one of two non-profit organizations to receive an award in recognition of our successes, and valued contributions, to the local area. The sponsors of the award include the City of Belleville, City of Trenton, County of Prince Edward, all local Chambers of Commerce, Government of Ontario, Local HRDC, Trenval Business Development Corp., Quinte Economic Development Commission and Enterprise Quinte.

ECOTB was one of only two agencies to win the Award of Merit in the non-profit category. We were especially pleased to be a recipient in view of the outstaning, local competition who were also up for the award and which included Loyalist College, United Way of Quinte, Access Centre for Hastings & Prince Edward, YMCA (the other winner), two local Associations for Community Living, Stirling Festival Theatre and Quinte Paralegal Services.

We thank the Board, staff and many community organizations and people who share in this award and continue to work to create local solutions.
